JB, Owner and “Chief Geek”
JB is the owner of Piedmont Technical Experts, a company he founded after spending more than 25 years in the IT industry. His path into the technology field began in college when his first computer constantly broke, and he learned how to fix it himself. He was instantly hooked after that.
JB started his career as a desktop technician and quickly proved his capabilities by rebuilding services within his first week on the job. After more than a decade in corporate IT and several years working within managed service providers, he launched Piedmont Technical Experts with a mission to deliver reliable, high-quality IT support to small businesses often overlooked by larger firms.
JB approaches technical challenges by minimizing risk, isolating problems, and presenting clear, practical solutions. He enjoys helping business owners who are used to being told they’re too small to matter.
Outside of work, JB enjoys running, fitness, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. His personal motto: the only person he competes with is himself.

He also spent time as an A/V technician at the Four Seasons in Washington D.C., supporting a wide range of clients and events.
