Job Summary:
As a Salesperson for Piedmont Technical Experts, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP), you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will work closely with potential clients to understand their IT needs, offer tailored MSP solutions, and build long-term relationships. Your role will involve a mix of prospecting, networking, and consultative selling, making you a key player in the expansion of our client base and the achievement of our sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and engage with potential clients, including small and medium-sized businesses, to promote Piedmont Technical Experts’s MSP services. Develop a deep understanding of their IT needs and challenges.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments and present customized MSP solutions that align with client business goals. Educate prospects on the benefits of managed IT services, including cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and IT support.
- Lead Generation: Actively prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms. Manage and nurture leads through the sales pipeline, from initial contact to contract signing.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling additional services.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to key decision-makers. Address client concerns and objections effectively to close deals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet client expectations. Coordinate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, including lead status, sales forecasts, and client communications, using CRM software. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to better position Piedmont Technical Experts’s services in the market.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, ensuring that both company and client interests are aligned. Close deals that meet or exceed sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: 2-4 years of sales experience in the IT or MSP industry is preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of MSP services, including managed IT support, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and network management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Persuasive and confident in presenting technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
- Experience using CRM tools to manage leads, sales activities, and reporting.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based but may require travel to client sites and industry events. Remote work opportunities may be available depending on company policy.
